About the Role:

A well-established and reputable cattle feeding operation is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to join their team. This individual will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to oversee the accounting practices of two entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial forecasting, tax planning, and financial accounting strategies
  • Oversee auditing, job costing, inventory control, and general ledger management
  • Assist with office procedures, including data entry and other administrative tasks
  • Manage separate books for two separate entities
  • Collaborate with the CFO to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Requirements:

  • Strong accounting background, preferably with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Experience in cattle feedlots or agriculture industry accounting practices
  • Accounting degree and proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
