About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Resource Nurse. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing clinical support and leadership to our blood donor collection team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to the blood donor collection team, ensuring the highest level of care and safety for donors.
  • Collaborate with the Donor Collection Manager to develop and implement process improvements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental standards.
  • Assist with the onboarding and training of new staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Identify and address any clinical or operational issues, working with the Nurse Manager and Compliance Officer to resolve them.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of donor and quality control data, ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with intra-departmental areas, such as donor services, blood bank, and BTS medical team, to provide the best care possible to donors.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Resource Nurse or Charge Nurse in a clinical setting.
  • Experience in blood donor collection, apheresis, or dialysis is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address clinical or operational issues.
