Advanced Acute Care Nurse Professional

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Advanced Acute Care Nurse to join our team at Geisinger. This is a full-time position working nights, every other weekend, and holiday.
About the RoleThis role provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure. The successful candidate will complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
Responsibilities- Formulate, coordinate, and provide plan of care as established in unit standards, including patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning throughout hospitalization with members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise plan of care based upon patient response to interventions.
- Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members, taking action to proactively resolve and facilitate patient needs.
- Makes assignments in collaboration with other team members, directing and altering assignments in response to changes in patient situations.
- Promotes teamwork by delegating tasks to team members based on skill, expertise, time availability, acuity, and needs of the patient.
Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)
CompensationThe estimated salary for this position is $35.88 per hour, with opportunities for increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
