Job SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver/Courier to join our team at Food Safety Net Services. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of food samples to our laboratory testing facility.
Key Responsibilities- Delivery and Pick-up Services: Operate a company vehicle to deliver and pick up test samples at customer sites, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance of company facilities and vehicles, adhering to established schedules and procedures.
- Accident Reporting: Follow proper accident reporting procedures according to company policy, ensuring prompt and accurate reporting.
- Logistics Coordination: Work closely with laboratory management and staff to coordinate logistics and ensure smooth sample delivery.
- Vehicle Operation: Operate vehicles in a safe and defensive manner, conserving fuel and sustaining vehicles at optimal operating efficiency.
- Preventative Maintenance: Present vehicles for repair, service, or adjustment as needed, and perform preventative maintenance when due.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the Food Safety Net Services team to achieve individual and team goals, participating in team efforts and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Training and Development: Complete assigned training and development programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Training: Training in general laboratory practices.
- License: Current, valid driver's license issued in the state of operation.
- Driving Record: A driving record with no DUIs or major moving violations or accidents within the past 60 months.
- Professional Qualities: Demonstrated professionalism, dependability, and initiative in prior work experience.
- Physical Activity: Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands and arms, talk, and hear.
- Lifting: Regularly lifts items up to 55 pounds.
- Sensory Requirements: Color vision and depth perception.
- Environmental Factors: Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, and microbiological pathogens.
- Work Environment: Noise level varies from quiet to loud, and temperature varies from hot to cold.
