Senior Nursing Assistant

The Senior Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in providing exceptional care to residents in our long-term care facility. As an experienced caregiver, you will serve as a member of the nursing team, working under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality care and daily living assistance to assigned residents.
Responsibilities- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
- Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
- Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for residents.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
- Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
