Job Title: Underground ForemanJob Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Underground Foreman to oversee a team of laborers and an operator in a tunneling/mining environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mining equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of mining personnel, including shotcrete, drill, shoot, and concrete operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on proper equipment use and safety procedures.
  • Plan and schedule daily operations for shotcrete, drilling, shooting, and concrete tasks.
  • Monitor and inspect work sites to ensure compliance with operational standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Implement corrective actions as needed to address safety issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of operational activities, including daily logs, safety reports, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 15 years of Underground Foreman experience.
  • ACI Certification is required.
  • Shotcrete Association Nozzleman certification.
  • OSHA30 preferred.
  • Certified, or capable welder.
  • Manlift operator certification.
  • Must be able to pass a respirator fit test.
