Position Overview

In the role of Recreational Water Safety Attendant, you will prioritize safety and customer engagement. Working in a dynamic environment, you will oversee both indoor and outdoor state-of-the-art swimming facilities. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the pool area and ensuring safety on water attractions, as well as assisting with community aquatics events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage with members and guests
  • Perform rescues for swimmers in distress and provide first aid as necessary
  • Inform swimmers about potentially hazardous areas and activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the pool area to ensure member safety

Position Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in Lifeguarding and First Aid
  • Ability to remain stationary and navigate the facility for extended periods
  • Effective communication skills to assist guests with inquiries regarding services
  • Capability to swim 300 yards/meters continuously
  • Ability to tread water for one minute
  • Proficient in retrieving a 10 lb diving brick from the pool bottom and swimming it to the surface without stopping
  • Physical ability to lift and move objects weighing over 20 lbs regularly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six months of experience in customer service
