Job Summary:

The Banquet Captain is responsible for overseeing and assisting with the setup, service, and cleanup of all assigned banquet functions at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe.

Responsibilities:
  • Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe's standards, as required by scheduling.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag while working.
  • Comply with all The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Comply with certification requirements applicable to the position, including Alcohol Awareness and Food Safety certifications.
  • Inspect the setup of meeting and banquet functions, verifying them against the Banquet Event Order.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field is required. A high school diploma or equivalent is also required.
  • College coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification is required (must comply with state regulations).
