Job Overview

Position Title: Campground Maintenance/Groundskeeper

Reporting To: Maintenance/Grounds Team Supervisor, Campground Manager, and/or Owners

Role Summary: This position is responsible for the comprehensive upkeep and maintenance of campground facilities, structures, equipment, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct essential carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs as directed by the Campground Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules, including tasks related to the pool/spa, lawn care, landscaping, waste management, and equipment servicing.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols established by KOA and relevant authorities, ensuring safe handling and storage of tools and chemicals.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by being attentive and responsive to guest inquiries and concerns, reporting issues to management as necessary.
  • This role may involve additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Maintain high standards for campground facilities and grounds.
  • Complete projects efficiently and safely.
  • Exhibit a positive demeanor towards guests and team members.
  • Implement safe work practices to ensure a secure environment for all.

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate understanding of electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling and safety.
  • Familiarity with propane and gasoline dispensing.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry lighter loads.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
  • Comfortable with bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Experience operating various maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Able to work in diverse outdoor conditions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic mechanical skills.
  • Entry-level plumbing knowledge.
  • Beginner carpentry skills.
  • Fundamental electrical understanding.
  • Landscaping experience.
  • Pool maintenance basics.
