Role Summary:

We are in search of a highly experienced Senior Electrical Estimator with a minimum of 10 years in heavy MEP construction. The successful candidate will possess the expertise to estimate intricate electrical projects, overseeing the entire process from bid preparation to project execution. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems and the capability to manage estimating tasks with utmost accuracy.

Key Duties:

  • Create precise and detailed cost estimates for extensive electrical projects, including healthcare facilities and industrial environments.
  • Review blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to formulate thorough estimates.
  • Engage with project managers, engineers, and clients to collect information and clarify project specifications.
  • Draft and present bid proposals, inclusive of cost breakdowns, timelines, and scope of work.
  • Assess and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure alignment with project needs.
  • Track changes in project scope and adjust estimates as necessary.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory updates to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

Compensation:

Salary is approximately $150,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in electrical estimating, particularly in heavy MEP construction.
  • Demonstrated success in estimating large and complex electrical projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, construction methodologies, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret and apply technical information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective in a collaborative team setting.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A collaborative mindset, as this role may involve assisting colleagues.
