Medical Director

We are seeking a Medical Director to join our team. As a Medical Director, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care within a correctional facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the highest level of medical care is delivered to our patients.

• Medical Care Provision: Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including examining referred patients, daily infirmary visits, and ensuring thorough documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or on approved forms.

• Clinical Expertise: Demonstrate clinical expertise by responding to emergencies, supervising and instructing healthcare personnel, and consulting with medical specialists and professionals to deliver high-quality care while adhering to established policies and standards.

• Quality Improvement: Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to improve patient outcomes through continuous quality improvement initiatives, including Chronic Care Clinics, pharmacy service monitoring, and liaison with community healthcare providers.

• Treatment Protocols: Take an active role in reviewing and approving treatment protocols, clinical policies, and disaster plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

• Clinical Oversight: Provide clinical oversight, participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Committee, and make recommendations to enhance patient care and safety.

We are seeking a Medical Director who possesses the following qualifications:

• Medical school graduate
• Experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health preferred
• Must have and maintain current licensure within the State of employment
• Maintains a current DEA number
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification
• Must maintain privileges
• Maintains CME requirements for continued medical practice in the State
