Job SummaryWe are looking for a motivated and experienced DVM to support our team Thursday-Saturday. As an Associate Veterinarian, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of veterinarians and support staff to provide exceptional care to our patients.
Responsibilities- Examine, diagnose, and treat animals brought into the veterinary clinic/hospital for medical care
- Perform surgical procedures as needed, including routine spay/neuter operations as well as more complex surgeries
- Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, and preventative care plans
- Counsel pet owners on animal health, nutrition, behavior, and overall wellbeing
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays, blood work, etc. and develop treatment plans
- Maintain comprehensive patient medical records and documentation
- Assist in emergencies and provide urgent/critical care when needed
- At least 1 year of clinical experience
- Experienced with surgical and dental procedures
- Valid and in good standing licensed veterinarian within the state of California
- Strong clinical skills and sound medical judgment
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Time-management and delegation abilities
- Exercises sound judgment and demonstrates exemplary decision-making skills
- Professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with others
