Network Architect

Vaco Technology is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure and systems, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, wireless systems, and virtual/cloud-based networking configurations.

• Troubleshoot Network Issues: Identify and resolve network-related problems, including service provider, routing, switching, data center performance, packet loss, latency, and systems connectivity issues.
• Develop Networking-Related Policies and Procedures: Create and maintain network security best practices and implement them across the organization.
• Interface with Cybersecurity and Governance Director: Collaborate with the director to implement security hardware and software configurations.
• Evaluate and Design New Networking Configurations: Assess and design new network configurations to improve network stability and performance.
• Maintain Relationships with Critical IT Service Providers: Foster strong relationships with key IT service providers to ensure seamless network operations.
• Evaluate and Implement Break/Fix Solutions: Identify and implement solutions to improve network stability and performance.
• Lead Network Disaster Recovery Initiatives: Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
• Upgrade and Patch Network Device Software and Hardware: Stay up-to-date with the latest network device software and hardware to ensure optimal network performance.
• Proactively Identify and Resolve Technical Risks: Identify and mitigate technical risks to ensure network security and stability.
• Create and Maintain System Process Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for network-related processes and procedures.

• Network Engineer: Cisco, Meraki, Azure, and cloud tenant connectivity experience.
• Cisco Meraki: MX appliances, firewalls, WiFi access points, WAP, SD-WAN, routers, and switches experience.
• Cloud Tenant Connectivity: Azure networking, Azure VNet gateway, Azure ACL, DataLake, security, network isolation, ExpressRoute site-to-site VPN configuration, and NSG configuration experience.
• Scripting Languages: PowerShell, Python, and shell scripting experience.

• Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, Azure, Barracuda, Palo Alto, and Fortinet certifications.
