Cardiology Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiology Physician Assistant to join our team at Confluence Health. As a key member of our cardiovascular care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our cardiology services.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive history and physical examinations for new cardiology patients, pre-operative clearance for non-cardiac surgery, and post-operative evaluation after cardiac procedures.
- Order and/or perform pertinent diagnostic tests, including ECG, echocardiogram, nuclear stress test, exercise stress test, and chest x-ray.
- Evaluate cardiac patient's medical history, physical exam findings, and diagnostic/laboratory data to formulate a cardiac care plan using established guidelines.
- Initiate hospital admission orders after consulting with on-call cardiologist, including admission history and physical, on cardiac patients that require admission.
- Provide education and counseling to cardiac patients, patients' families, and community groups on prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease.
- Act as preceptor for physician assistant/nurse practitioner students and actively recruit patients for cardiology-oriented research studies.
- Participate in Community Wellness events, as schedule allows, with focus on cardiovascular disease and educate Cardiac Rehab participants on cardiovascular disease and prevention.
- Active Physician Assistant licensure with prescriptive authority in the state of Washington, required by start date.
- CPR/ACLS Certification.
- Related experience and Cardiology Specialty Certification are desired.
The work is performed at in-patient exam and treatment rooms, where space may be limited and confined. Requires a combination of working independently and also working closely with others.
