Salem Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting professional to lead our accounting team. As the Director of Accounting/Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining the accounting records of the organization, overseeing the financial systems, and ensuring that procedures and processes are followed.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with a minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience with computerized General Ledger systems. A CPA certification is also preferred. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and experience with cost report and Form 990 knowledge.

The Director of Accounting/Controller will provide direction and mentoring to staff responsible for maintaining the Payroll and Accounts Payable systems, ensuring accuracy of payments to employees and vendors. This role also requires staying up to date on current tax legislation and accounting guidance.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.
