Pinnacle Wound Management is seeking a skilled wound specialist to join our network of highly trained professionals. As a wound specialist, you will work closely with nursing staff and facility administration to develop comprehensive plans of care for patients in nursing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to assigned nursing facilities weekly to assess patients and make recommendations on plan of care
- Work closely with nursing staff and facility administration to ensure timely and effective care
- Utilize facility formulary and follow facility protocols to ensure high-quality care
- Document patient encounters in our electronic health record (EHR) system
- Discuss treatments and goals with primary care physicians and family members
- Perform procedures such as debridements, incision and drainage, cellular tissue application, cauterization, and negative pressure wound therapy
Requirements:
- Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice
- DEA certification
- Pass state and federal background checks
- Basic EHR knowledge
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- 1 year of wound care experience
- Wound care certification (preferred)
