About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures, utilizing ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport, transfer, immobilize, and position patients for imaging procedures.
  • Calculate and select proper technical factors, operate equipment, acquire and process images, and identify images with patient information.
  • Provide radiation protection, assist physicians with contrast media administration, and perform first aid when necessary.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement projects and maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned areas.
  • Rotate within the department, divisions, and off-site clinics, promoting harmony and cooperation among personnel.
  • Explain exams to patients, considering their physical and emotional needs, and maintain ethical standards.
  • Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintain CEUs in accordance with Massachusetts state licensure and ARRT requirements.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved formal program in Radiologic technology.
  • Valid Massachusetts license as a Radiologic technologist in the category of Radiography.
  • ARRT certification and registration, with years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Working Conditions
  • Work OT, holidays, and weekends as needed.
  • Work in a large open area with extreme temperature and humidity variations.
  • Minimal exposure to ionizing radiation with proper safety procedures.
  • Continuous standing and lifting.
  • Exposure to human waste and disease.
  • Considerable stress from dealing with hospital staff, patients, and families.
