At Michael Foods, Inc., we offer an exciting opportunity for a Packaging Operator Nights to join our team in Gaylord, Minnesota. This role is responsible for ensuring a high-quality product is packaged at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all tray packers and ensure proper operations.
  • Monitor and maintain video jet to ensure proper cleaning, adequate liquid, and clear print at all times.
  • Operate shrink-wrap machine and add film as required.
  • Fill in for other Packaging machine operators for breaks and vacations.
  • Monitor date on master shipper for legibility and make corrective actions when necessary.
  • Set-up equipment and material for production runs.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
  • Foster open communications and a good attitude toward work and fellow employees.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
  • Adhere to safe work practices and follow GMP's to ensure product quality.
  • Perform Sanitation procedures in accordance with department and food safety standards.
  • Run, clean, and perform preventive maintenance on extended run fillers.
  • Ability to navigate operating system on tablets for quality and performance checks.
  • Follow instructions for ingredient mixing and calculate mathematical equations.
  • Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.

Qualifications:

  • One to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills.
