Licensed Masters Level Clinician, Residential Program

A leading non-profit behavioral health care organization in Louisiana is seeking a Licensed (Masters Level) Discharge Counselor for a residential program.



The Discharge Counselor must conduct specialized assessments when necessary and maintain communication with referral sources, court systems, and other essential human service providers related to ongoing treatment and discharge planning.



The Discharge Counselor is responsible for working within a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, treatment case reviews, and written documentation as required by the agency, state, and federal courts, and all funding sources.



The Discharge Counselor participates in Performance Improvement activities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from an accredited Social Work Program, or a Masters degree in a Counseling or related Human Service Field.



A valid Louisiana State issued license in either counseling, addiction counseling, or social work.



Skilled in individual and group therapy modalities.



Experience in substance abuse treatment modalities (emphasis on Minnesota Model).



Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills.



Ability to be creative and flexible within parameters of treatment programs and modalities.
