Nursing Professor

Central Arizona College, a leading institution of higher education, is seeking a qualified Nursing Professor to join its faculty. Located in a rapidly growing region, the college offers a diverse range of academic programs and a commitment to student success.

• Teaching and Curriculum Development: Teach assigned classes in various modalities, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats, on any campus or site as directed by the division chair or program director.
• Instructional Design and Delivery: Develop and present course materials, utilizing a variety of teaching styles and technologies, to engage students and promote learning.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Employ a range of assessment tools to evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback, ensuring students meet course objectives.
• Student Support and Advising: Communicate with students through various channels, including email, online discussions, and virtual meetings, to provide guidance and support.
• Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance, submitting required reports to the appropriate office by established deadlines.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance teaching skills, knowledge of trends and technologies, and instructional programs.

Requirements: Master's degree in Nursing, current AZ Nursing license in good standing, or ability to obtain, and three years of experience in clinical nursing.

Desirable Qualifications: Expertise in two specialty areas of nursing, experience instructing nursing students, and knowledge of medical computer simulation programs and equipment.

Physical Demands: Duties require moderate physical effort, including standing, sitting, and repetitive motion, with occasional lifting of moderate weights.

Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate a willingness to cooperate with colleagues and students, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Working Conditions: This position is performed in a classroom and/or lab setting, with occasional distractions and exposure to some disagreeable elements.
