Job Summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound tests for patients, working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Acquire anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for interpretation by physicians.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and sonographic data, ensuring timely presentation to interpreting physicians.
  • Collaborate with physicians to review studies and provide preliminary reports.
  • Assist with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
  • Code services performed and maintain equipment operation.
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and take corrective action.
  • Rotate as needed to cover Sonographer absences and perform related duties as directed.
Requirements
  • Minimum six months experience as an ultrasound technician in OB/GYN and/or MFM setting preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in operating ultrasound equipment.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent.
  • ARDMS OB/GYN certified or eligible.
  • Fetal echo certification or eligible to obtain with 12 months of hire.
