Metrology Specialist

At Harba Solutions Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Metrologist to join our team. As a Metrologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of our measurement systems.

• Instrument Calibration and Maintenance: Perform routine calibration, verification, and maintenance of measurement instruments and equipment used in QC testing. Ensure all instruments are compliant with established standards and specifications.
• Measurement System Verification: Monitor and verify the accuracy and precision of measurement systems, including but not limited to analytical balances, spectrophotometers, and chromatographs.
• Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of calibration, maintenance, and repair activities. Generate detailed reports on instrument performance, deviations, and corrective actions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including FDA, USP, and ISO standards. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and evidence of instrument performance.
• Problem-Solving and Collaboration: Identify and resolve issues related to measurement equipment. Collaborate with QC and maintenance teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to QC staff on proper use and handling of measurement instruments. Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to metrology.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of measurement processes. Propose and implement improvements to metrology practices and procedures.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Metrology, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in metrology or quality control are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in metrology or a related field, preferably in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of calibration standards, measurement techniques, and instrumentation. Proficiency with calibration software and tools.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards such as FDA, USP, and ISO.
• Communication and Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret complex data and generate accurate reports.
• Teamwork: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
