We have an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant to join our team at Prisma Health

About the Role:

  • As a Physician Assistant, you will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care and make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
  • You will be responsible for performing health histories, physical exams, and individual and group health education, as well as ordering diagnostic laboratory tests and radiological tests.
  • You will also interpret physical findings, lab and x-ray results, diagnose conditions, and formulate and carry out treatment plans.
  • In addition, you will refer cases to supervising physicians when necessary and provide emergency care to prevent loss of life, limb, or eyesight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct health histories and physical exams.
  • Order diagnostic tests and interpret results.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medication as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Physician Assistant program approved by an accredited medical body.
  • NCCPA certification and current Physician Assistant licensure in South Carolina.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
