Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Springville City Corporation. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on all City buildings and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems.
  • Assist with custodial and janitorial needs of City buildings and facilities.
  • Assist with and coordinate set up and take down for special events and other functions in City facilities.
  • Perform routine handyman and small improvement projects.
  • Operate and maintain building security and safety systems.
  • Keep up to date maintenance records of City facilities.
  • Follow all OSHA and other facilities safety standards.
Requirements
  • High School graduate and valid Utah driver's license.
  • One year on-the-job experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with the upkeep and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of equipment related to facilities maintenance.
  • Experience with handyman and general construction type work.
  • Ability to work well with others and provide high levels of customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use general word and spreadsheet programs.
  • Ability to keep accurate and timely records.
  • Ability to produce reports, memos, and work orders.
  • Basic knowledge of IFMA standards.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be able to perform physical labor, climb ladders, work in small areas, bend, stoop, climb, and routinely lift over 50 pounds. They will also be able to work inside and outside in all types of weather and be available to respond to after-hours emergencies and call out situations.
