About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder. As a Senior Level Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on our fleet of heavy duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance and repairs, including preventive maintenance and complex repairs with minimal support.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers and software.
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions.
  • Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Coach and mentor other level technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
Requirements
  • Ability to perform all T3 tasks.
  • Demonstrated advanced analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenance.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including PC, Windows, and mouse.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work shift work, weekends, and on-call duty as required.
  • ASE Certification in PM, Brakes, A/C, electrical, Electronics, or ASE Master Mechanic.
  • Ability to operate shop computers and diagnostic test equipment proficiently.
  • Minimum tool requirement.
  • Ability to road test vehicles as necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and influence others.
