The Transaction Coordinator is a key member of our team at Long & Foster, responsible for coordinating all required tasks from contract ratification until closing. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Communication and Coordination: Establish and maintain communication with all parties involved in the transaction, including agents, clients, and title companies.
- Document Verification: Verify files for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all required documents are in order.
- Paperwork and Compliance: Prepare and submit jurisdictional paperwork, such as U&O applications and utility certifications, as required.
- Transaction Management: Monitor timelines and contingencies, following up with municipalities and title companies as needed to ensure timely receipt of required certifications.
- Client Communication: Keep agents and clients informed throughout the process, providing detailed email communication and updates.
- Database Management: Update internal Excel databases with transaction details, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Meet Performance Expectations: Meet all performance and behavior expectations outlined in the company performance appraisal form or communicated by management.
- Quality and Professionalism: Perform responsibilities as directed, achieving desired results within expected time frames and with a high degree of quality and professionalism.
- Positive Relationships: Establish and maintain positive and productive work relationships with all staff, customers, and business partners.
- Technical Competencies: Demonstrate the behavioral and technical competencies necessary to effectively complete job responsibilities, taking personal initiative for technical and professional development.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience: Preferably at least 2 years' experience in a related field, with skills in attention to detail, verbal and written communication, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
