POSITION SUMMARY:
Rappahannock Goodwill Industries is seeking a dedicated Youth Employment Case Coordinator. This role involves the orchestration of services in collaboration with various agencies, training institutions, and employers. The coordinator will provide continuous support and career guidance throughout the participant's journey in the program, meticulously documenting all interactions in case notes and tracking progress in the Individual Service Strategy (ISS). Additionally, the Case Coordinator will aid participants in overcoming obstacles and reaching their objectives. Responsibilities include the accurate processing of paperwork, invoices, and documentation related to job training and workforce development initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain comprehensive client records.
- Assess eligibility for all interested individuals, including adults, dislocated workers, and youth.
- Offer job search assistance and strategize for transitions to unsubsidized employment.
- Deliver personalized case management, standardized assessments, and counseling for clients, along with follow-up reporting.
- Collaborate with clients to develop a service strategy that aligns with their goals.
- Ensure clients receive appropriate training and education for their success.
- Establish robust business relationships within the communities served.
- Engage with employers to formulate plans for client employment and training.
- Accurately evaluate costs associated with training, work experience, and supportive services.
- Submit all required forms, bills, invoices, and documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Training:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a preference for 1+ years in social work or rehabilitation, particularly with individuals facing employment barriers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient digital skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, cloud-based computing, and online data-tracking systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Valid Virginia Driver's License (driving record must meet RGI's insurance standards).
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods, including climbing, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, carrying, pushing, pulling, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Office environment with occasional travel and a variable work schedule.
