You will work closely with the rehabilitation team to set measurable objectives and goals, and adjust treatment plans to achieve maximum results in independence and function.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide empirically based psychological interventions to patients and families, promoting community reintegration and independence.
- Design and implement community reintegration activities to support patients' psychological and cognitive needs.
- Communicate patient progress and needs to the treatment team, physician, and family members.
- Consult with medical providers to ensure effective treatment and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress.
- Adhere to company policies, HIPAA, and professional practice standards.
Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current professional license and/or certification as required by the state of practice.
- Minimum one year of post-master's degree clinical experience in counseling individuals with traumatic or acquired brain injuries or related neurological conditions.
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury rehabilitation techniques.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
