Abbott Northwestern Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Echocardiography Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform echocardiograms on inpatients and outpatients, utilizing various modalities and techniques to obtain high-quality images.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and obtaining informed consent.
- Operate echocardiography equipment, including transducers and consoles, to obtain high-quality images.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and results.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient department operations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Echocardiography Technologist.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - Adults required, RDCS-Peds preferred.
- Experience with Siemens and Phillips echocardiography equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient department operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
As a per diem Echocardiography Technologist at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a team of experienced healthcare professionals.
