Job Essentials
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease;
- Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation;
- Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems;
- Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others;
- Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan;
- Consultation with other healthcare providers;
- Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care;
- Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes.
Additional Responsibilities:
Advanced Practice Providers may also participate in research, utilize evidence-based practice to improve quality patient care, protocol development, care process model development, and best practice standards for assigned patient population throughout our organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant;
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant;
Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V;
Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V;
BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers;
Other certification as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).
