Job Description

The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has an opening for a skilled Tier II Network Technician to support computer data communications systems. This position involves providing design specifications, testing, and inspections for computer networks; planning and implementing upgrades; as well as analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling.

The job duties of the Tier II Network Technician include:

  • SUPPORTING THE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF CLIENT LAN/WAN DEVICES.
  • RESPONDING TO AND RESOLVING INCIDENT TICKETS.
  • DRAFTING AND IMPLEMENTING STANDARD NETWORK CHANGE REQUESTS.
  • PROVIDING SUPPORT TO TIER III NETWORK ENGINEERS FOR INCIDENT MANAGEMENT AND PROJECTS.
  • PERFORMING CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS SUCH AS UPDATE TOPOLOGY DRAWINGS, ENSURE ASSET MANAGEMENT RECORDS ARE ACCURATE, AND CONDUCT INVENTORY.
  • COORDINATING NETWORK OPERATIONS, MAINTENANCE, REPAIRS, OR UPGRADES.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Required skills and qualifications include:

  • CLEARANCE: TS/SCI WITH POLY.
  • 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE THAT CAN BE A COMBINATION OF WORK HISTORY AND EDUCATION.
  • COMPLIANCE WITH DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE (DOD) 8570 INFORMATION ASSURANCE TECHNICAL (IAT) LEVEL 2.
  • KNOWLEDGE OF TRANSMISSION CONTROL PROTOCOL/INTERNET PROTOCOL (TCP/IP) AND OPEN SYSTEMS INTERCONNECTION (OSI) MODEL.
  • WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF BASIC ROUTING FUNDAMENTALS.
  • ABILITY TO TRAVEL 25 PERCENT OF THE TIME.
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $72,150.00 - $130,425.00 per year, based on industry standards and market conditions.
