Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Community Health Worker to join our team in the Public Health Immunization Program. The successful candidate will support the implementation of immunization programs and services for schools and communities in Ventura County.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of immunization clinics and programs for schools and communities.
  • Provide education and outreach to schools and communities on immunization requirements and recommended vaccines for students.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure compliance with immunization regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote immunization services and programs.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on immunization policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as public health, health education, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a public health setting, preferably in immunization programs or services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with school immunization programs and services.
  • Knowledge of immunization regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish.
