Job Description:

The selected candidate will provide routine and emergent anesthesia care for patients with varying medical conditions, including neonatal through geriatric cases. Responsibilities include performing preoperative evaluations, administering regional and general anesthesia, and providing post-anesthesia care. In addition, the successful applicant will participate in designated training activities, collaborate with nurse anesthetists, and support the facility's medical teaching program.

  • Provide anesthesia services for patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
  • Perform preoperative evaluations and develop anesthesia plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Administer regional and general anesthesia, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with nurse anesthetists and other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited graduate school of Medicine. Additionally, they must be Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, hold an active medical license, and meet all necessary licensing/certification requirements. A minimum of one year of experience practicing as a full-time Board Eligible or Board Certified Physician certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology is also required.

Applicants should also have current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS). Foreign medical graduates must possess a valid certificate from the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates. All candidates must be U.S. Citizens and able to obtain clinical privileges to practice medicine at the MTF Credentials Committee.
