We are seeking an accomplished Anatomic Pathology Specialist to join our esteemed team as a Medical Director. This pivotal role will involve leading the department's academic and clinical endeavors, fostering excellence in patient care, education, and research.
About the Opportunity
As a key member of our organization, you will oversee the daily operations of the Anatomic Pathology department, ensuring seamless integration with Clinical Pathology services. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the department's strategic direction, promoting evidence-based practices, and driving innovation in diagnostic medicine.
Salary & Benefits
The compensation package for this position includes a competitive annual salary of $331,500, along with a sign-on bonus of up to $100,000. Our comprehensive benefits program also offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, life insurance, disability protection, paid malpractice, retirement benefits, and CME time and money. Additionally, we provide a moving allowance to support your relocation.
Job Responsibilities
As our ideal candidate, you will possess a strong academic background, board certification in AP/CP, and NYS licensure and COQ. You will lead a team of pathologists, supporting approximately 18,000 surgical cases and 10,000 Cytopathology cases annually. Key responsibilities include:
- Directing the Anatomic Pathology service line
- Mentoring junior pathologists
- Developing and implementing quality assurance programs
- Collaborating with other departments to enhance patient care
