Support Student Development as a School Psychologist

Job Summary

The School Psychologist will work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify and support students who may be struggling academically or behaviorally. This will involve conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and providing counseling services to students and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to support students who are struggling academically or behaviorally.
  • Provide counseling services to students and their families to address a range of issues, including academic stress, social skills, and emotional regulation.
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement behavioral interventions and academic support programs.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and any areas where they may need additional support.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Masters degree in School Psychology or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Certification as a School Psychologist by the District of Columbia Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE).
  • At least two years of experience working as a School Psychologist or in a related field.
Salary and Benefits

Related service provider salaries are exempt and start at $82,620. The salary increases with years of experience. Related service providers can earn up to $4,000 in renewal add-ons to their base salary each year they return to KIPP DC.

We offer a robust benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurances; various voluntary benefits; and employer-paid benefits such as short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, and a membership to One Medical.

We also offer a 403(b) retirement account with a 3% employer contribution and a 3% match with vesting after three years. Additionally, we offer 10 paid sick days, 12 paid holidays, paid Thanksgiving week break, winter break, spring break, and summer break.
