Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN specializing in Med Surg Orthopedics to join our dedicated team at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in nursing, particularly in the medical-surgical and telemetry settings.

Certification Requirements
  • BLS Certification is mandatory.
  • Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, and Tech Cert Verification may be required based on specific duties.
  • Compliance with HIPAA Safety Manual is essential.
  • State License Verification is required.
  • NURSYS Verification is necessary.
Job Details
  • Location: OhioHealth Grant Methodist Hospital
  • Position: Med Surg Ortho RN (must be able to read and interpret telemetry)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Night shift, 7 PM - 7 AM, 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday rotation.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 1.5 years experience in MS/Tele nursing.
  • Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret telemetry is essential.
  • BLS certification is required.
Schedule Information
  • Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.
  • Work schedule consists of 36 hours per week.
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required.
Unit Specific Information
  • MS Tele unit with nursing ratios of 5:1, which may flex to 6:1 based on staffing needs.
  • Unit includes care for COVID patients with a primary care ratio of 3:1 to mitigate staff burnout.
  • Common patient types include surgical cases (Ortho, GYN, Spine, Urology) and emergency department patients (e.g., DM, COPD, headaches).
Additional Details
  • For APN candidates, completion of the I-9 and E-Verify Attestation Form is required.
  • Individuals in hospice, home health, or those required to drive must carry a copy of their driver's license at all times.
  • This requirement does not expire for the client.
  • Note that the 'date declared' on forms should reflect the date of residency in the state, not the date of signing.
