Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Maintenance Technician to join our team at WKY Development LLC Oak Grove. This role is essential in ensuring the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of landscaping areas and various job sites.
  • Performing grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting shrubs and trees, and weeding.
  • Providing excellent guest service to enhance visitor experiences.
  • Ensuring the safety of team members and guests by implementing effective safety protocols.
  • Operating various small equipment including air compressors, generators, and concrete mixers.
  • Handling heavy machinery such as water trucks and skid loaders.
  • Conducting routine maintenance and minor repairs on a range of equipment including tractors and mowers.
  • Driving automotive vehicles such as pick-up trucks and vans.
  • Assisting skilled tradespeople with mechanical tasks and building operations.
  • Constructing and repairing structures using materials like bricks and concrete.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.
Performance Standards

EXPECTATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Maintaining professional relationships with all staff members.
  • Exhibiting strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrating accountability for departmental performance.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in landscaping or horticulture is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
  • Must possess a current driver's license.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position require the ability to work in varying weather conditions and utilize various maintenance tools and equipment. Responsibilities include standing, walking, lifting, and operating machinery. The employee may need to lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs.
