Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN Ortho Joint Spine Specialist

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in the orthopedic joint spine unit. As a key member of the management team, the CNC is responsible for directing, monitoring, and evaluating nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide day-to-day clinical management of the unit, maintaining customer satisfaction (patient, visitors, physicians, and staff)
- Perform therapeutic patient-centered post-operative nursing care for total knee, hip, shoulder, and other surgical procedures, serving as a role model for staff
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License
- 3+ years of current nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
- 1 year of medical surgical experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
- 1 year of leadership experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification
