About the Role

Arundel Machine is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in a Milling Operations role. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC Milling Machines: Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines to produce machined parts, adhering to quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Perform routine maintenance on CNC milling machines, keep records, and maintain equipment supplies.
  • Plan and Interpret Machining: Study work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans to plan machining operations, interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances, and program milling machines.
  • Load and Unload Machines: Load and unload machine tools, lifting stock into position, and verifying settings by measuring positions and sample workpieces.
  • Inspect and Document Work: Perform in-process inspection, detect malfunctions, and document actions by completing production and quality records.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Equivalent to high school education or related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Physical Demands: Frequently required to stand and walk; occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Work Environment
  • Work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasionally exposed to moderate to loud noise levels.
