Maternity Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maternity Nurse to join our team at Providence Newberg Medical Center. As a Maternity Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the health and well-being of new mothers and their babies.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on maternal and newborn care.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Oregon Registered Nurse License.
  • Current National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
  • Within 90 days of hire: National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics certification.
  • 1 year of nursing experience.
