Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in delivering quality care to elderly or disabled individuals. This position involves assisting clients with daily living activities in a daytime non-residential setting, including meal support and engagement in supervised activities. The role requires adaptability and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personal care services to clients, including bathing, grooming, and hygiene tasks.
  • Monitor client health by checking vital signs and documenting fluid intake and output.
  • Assist clients with mobility, including transfers to and from wheelchairs, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Provide emotional and social support through active listening and companionship.
  • Report any changes in client condition to the Program Coordinator promptly.
  • Support clients during meals and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, preventing accidents and ensuring proper equipment use.
  • Complete necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Uphold client confidentiality and protect their rights.
  • Report any suspected abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities.
  • Adhere to all regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Engage clients in activities that promote mental alertness and well-being.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to health regulations, ensuring cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Participate in facility maintenance and upkeep.
  • Stay informed on best practices through ongoing education and training.
  • Drive agency vehicles as required for job duties.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current Arizona CNA license.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
Regulatory Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to obtain necessary background checks and clearances.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Obtain CPR, First Aid, and other relevant certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
