Opportunity for a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Position: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Not specified

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work within an educational environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering speech and language therapy, performing evaluations, and developing tailored educational plans for students. Experience in a school setting is preferred, although Clinical Fellows (CF) are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies and IEPs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and school personnel to meet student communication requirements
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions
  • Keep precise documentation of services rendered
  • Engage in IEP meetings and contribute to establishing educational goals

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for SLP licensure
  • ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred, but not mandatory for CF candidates
  • Prior experience in a school context is highly regarded
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
