Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department provides high-quality patient care by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. This role requires critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care to patients in the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and outcomes.

Responsibilities:

* Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department, utilizing the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
* Develops and implements individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and treatment goals.
* Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
* Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including charting and reporting.

Requirements:

* Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
* BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (ARC/AHA only).
* 2+ years of experience in emergency nursing, with a focus on critical care and patient safety.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as needed.
