Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Provider Healthcare. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide high-quality outpatient services to promote optimal mental health and prevent psychiatric disorders in a rural health clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations for patients based on referral from primary care providers.
  • Provide appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans, including medication evaluation and prescription.
  • Evaluate and order labs, reviewing results with patients and referring providers.
  • Function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Prepare accurate and timely medical records of all services rendered, including psychiatric and medical history and medication follow-up.
  • Coordinate care with outside providers, including primary care services, and communicate with pharmacies for timely and accurate prescription refills.
  • Facilitate client linkage to community-based primary care providers and provide staff training on various topics related to medical and psychiatric services.
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and other required meetings.
Requirements
  • Current Board Certification (ANCC) as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current and Unrestricted State of Arizona Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License.
  • Current and Unrestricted DEA license.
  • Three Years of Experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
Working Conditions

This is a primarily office and administrative position. The successful candidate must be able to function effectively under stressful situations and understand and accept the possibility of exposure to environmental conditions such as infectious/communicable diseases, noise, blood, and blood-borne diseases, chemicals and/or chemical fumes, odors, gases, and dust.
