Job Summary:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at SLP Operations, LLC, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents. Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and Director of Nursing, you will perform direct resident care duties within the scope of your professional certification and assist in maintaining a positive, physical, and psychosocial environment for the residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and changing bed linens.
  • Prepare residents for meals and snacks, and assist with eating when needed.
  • Read and follow daily care plans, perform assigned restorative and rehabilitative procedures, and report changes in condition to the Charge Nurse.
  • Document care provision on resident records and flow sheets as required.
  • Follow safety and sanitation rules, and promptly report any injuries or violations to the supervisor.
  • Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of residents.
  • Promote positive relationships with residents, visitors, and government regulators.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing with the State, with preferably one year of experience with the company.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Must relate positively to residents, family members, employees, nursing, and facility management.
  • Must comply with company Time and Attendance Policies.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

Walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to hear and respond to pages, ability to distinguish smells, tastes, and temperatures, ability to read and write, ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with residents, families, personnel, vendors, and consultants, ability to remain calm under stress.
