Job Overview

Vergence is seeking a skilled Healthcare System Data Analyst to join our team.

This is a hybrid position that requires living in the Indianapolis area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting general analysis of data and serving as project lead as assigned
  • Performing and documenting procedures for data preparation, including record linkage, data cleaning, standardization, analysis, and interpretation
  • Collaborating with the System Epidemiologist to improve the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of data submitted
  • Querying and analyzing data for data requests as necessary, in conjunction with the Data Release Committee
  • Applying principles of good ethical, legal, and public health practice as they relate to data reports, design, and data collection, dissemination, and use
  • Providing operational support for the database, ensuring data integrity, database availability, and performance
  • Developing integration of database systems through standardized database design techniques
  • Developing data collection and evaluation methodologies, including format design, project criteria, and requirements, data compilation, relevancy, and usage
  • Incorporating interpersonal skills in communication with agency personnel, colleagues, and the public
  • Collaborating with stakeholders for best practices in data analysis and effective data reporting
