About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Rigger/Truck Driver to join our team at Barnhart Crane and Rigging. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting heavy equipment and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Align and anchor cranes and equipment
  • Assemble and install supporting structures, rigging, hoist and pulling gear
  • Connect pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts, shackles and clamps
  • Clean and dress machine and surfaces of component parts
  • Control movements of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces
  • Dismantle, maintain and store rigging equipment
  • Manipulate rigging lines, hoist to move or support materials, steel and concrete
  • Select gears, cables and shackles according to load size, facilities and work schedule
  • Signal or give direction to workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials
  • Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability before engaging in hoisting and lifting
  • Operate within DOT laws and regulations
  • Ability to pull FLAT RGN, Step Deck and Double Drop Loads
Requirements
  • Excellent mechanical reasoning
  • Good perception of math applications, weights, measurement, and balance
  • Flexibility with your schedule, able to travel and able to work overtime
  • Pass drug test, fit for duty assessment, and background check
  • Lift 50 lbs.
  • Experience with axle weight distribution
  • Flexibility to travel is a must
  • Communication Skills
  • CDL - CLASS A
  • DL - DRIVER'S LICENSE
