Description
Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Outpatient Imaging Center is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, compassionate individual who is a strong communicator to work in an energetic, patient-focused team. We are looking for a Digital X-Ray/Dexa Technologist for a Full-time position at our outpatient imaging center located in a convenient location. This job will include two 12-hour shifts on Monday and Tuesday (8am-8pm) and two 8-hour shifts on Wednesday and Thursday (8am-5pm). Dexa experience is preferred; however, we will provide on-the-job training for those without Dexa experience.Job Summary: Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the Diagnostic Imaging technologist:
- Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.
- Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.

- Must have a minimum associate's degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
- Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT.
- Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.
- BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
- Skill in operation of radiographic equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
- Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
