Key Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide coverage for all PEEL personnel during scheduled absences.
POSITION DUTIES:
Maintain adherence to safety protocols, follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), uphold sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality is consistently met. Report any conditions or practices that may negatively impact food safety, quality, or employee safety to management.
Comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
Operate and maintain machinery, making necessary adjustments as required.
Inspect packaging for seal integrity, weight, oxygen levels, and confirm accurate coding on products.
Document all quality attributes accurately.
Ensure operational guidelines are followed during cleaning and production tasks.
Set up and operate equipment such as metal detectors, scales, and coders.
Accurately input ingredient usage into the SAP system.
Utilize and support the TRM system as needed.
Effectively communicate pertinent information to team members during shifts and at shift changes.
Conduct general cleaning of equipment and maintain cleanliness throughout the department according to the daily sanitation checklist.
Assist in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Provide training to fellow employees.
Collaborate closely with supervisors to understand staffing requirements.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent educational background (GED).
EXPERIENCE:
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
To foster a safe and efficient manufacturing environment, effective communication in basic English (both verbal and written) is essential.
This includes the ability to speak, read, and understand safety instructions, rules, and warnings for oneself and others in both routine and emergency scenarios.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, brief correspondence, and memos. Ability to write basic correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages, and to interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and to handle various abstract and concrete variables.
