We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Loan Originator to join our team at Hilltop Holdings. As a Loan Originator, you will be responsible for marketing and promoting our financial products and services to our clients, establishing and maintaining relationships with realtors, bank officers, and builders, and originating loans that meet our company's minimum production standards.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and recommend financial products and services to meet customer needs and financial circumstances.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to develop and retain existing business.
- Market and promote our financial products and services.
- Originate loans that meet our company's minimum production standards.
- Monitor and analyze customer interactions and interfaces to ensure a positive experience.
- Collect and analyze customer data to inform loan decisions.
- Advise customers on the advantages and disadvantages of different loan products.
- Service existing customers and obtain necessary support documents and fees.
- Oversee the loan process to ensure conformity with terms.
- Communicate loan status to all interested parties and obtain loan documentation after closing.
- Present terms and conditions of loans to customers.
- Stay up-to-date on trends and developments in the local real estate market and competitive environment.
- Maintain a professional image and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Supervise and direct the activities of other loan officers, assistants, or processors as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent and appropriate licenses as required by state.
- Valid driver's license and current automobile liability insurance.
- A minimum of 12 months loan originator experience required.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to quickly assess and process large amounts of data.
- Active in the community and job-related organizations to enhance network of beneficial contacts.
